At Igknight, ageing well means staying connected – to your home, your community, and the people who matter to you. We provide one on one, in one on one support at home or community access across the Illawarra, built around what you actually need.
We’re an associated provider for the Support at Home (My Aged Care) Program, and we bring the same local, relationship-first approach to aged care that we’ve built our name on in disability support over the past 6+ years.
Our members are supported with input from their adult children, and many direct their own care entirely. We work whichever way suits you best. Either way, you’ll deal with a consistent, familiar team – not a rotating roster of strangers.

Fred has a strong foundation in supporting and enhancing the lives of people with disabilities. With a background in ministry, he has extensive experience in supporting young people through difficult lifestyle changes. His passion for community inclusion is evident in his work. In 2017, Fred established Cycle Tours NSW, a tourism business focusing on customised cycle tours. By 2018, his enthusiasm for cycling and community support led him to provide individual support to people with disabilities.
At Igknight, Fred's dedication is to support you in living your best life, being included, and staying connected in your community.

Born, raised, and living in Wollongong, I trained in nursing at UOW and have provided disability and aged care support to people from all walks of life since 1994. I have worked in both government and private organisations, offering clinical and practical support to some of the most complex individuals in our community. One of my favourite aspects of this work is seeing the joy on someone's face when they achieve something they never thought possible, from the smallest to the biggest goal. Everyone deserves a full and happy life – Igknight is one way I can contribute to making that happen.

Cherie started working in the disability sector while she completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology at the University of Wollongong. For nearly thirty years, Cherie has worked in community services in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions. This has included working across the disability sector, aged care sector, providing carer supports, and in a mental health recovery program. During this time, Cherie also completed a Diploma of Dementia Care with the University of Tasmania. Cherie loves that each person she encounters through her work is unique, and that the NDIS allows for person-centred, individualised supports. Cherie also strongly believes in building good relationships with other networks and providers, working together with the participant to achieve their goals.
Most people coming to us for aged care support already have an approved Support at Home Program classification (or Transitioned Home Care Package 1-4), set by My Aged Care. These classifications, Levels 1 to 8, determine how much funding you have available and what kind of support it can cover.
Igknight have experienced Care Partners to manager your care and budget complying with the Support At Home Program guidelines.
A small amount of help to stay safely and comfortably at home.
More regular support across daily living, domestic help, and community access.
More complex or higher care needs, including clinical and personal care support.
If you don’t yet have a Support at Home approval, the process starts with My Aged Care. Depending on your circumstances, we may be able to help you through the process, and support you once you’re approved.

A conversation about your needs & approved funding, and what support looks like day to day
We match you with the right support worker(s) and build a plan around your goals
Ongoing, consistent support from a team that checks in regularly
Not everyone needing support has, wants, or qualifies for government-funded aged care and that’s completely fine. We also provide private fee-for-service support for older members of our community and their families, on the same terms of quality and consistency.
”"I have been a client of Igknight since they commenced support at home aged care services in June 2026. From personal experience I can highly recommend Igknight support at home services."
